We all are very well aware of the dominance of internet in our lives along with the various facilities which it allows us. It will not at all be wrong to say that internet has changed the lives of the normal people to a huge extent. Previously the only media to contact the entire world in few seconds was telephone (in the previous age) or mobile phones (in the recent age). Other than these two, posting letters was also an option but that use to take a much longer time to reach the receiver’s end.

But with the introduction of internet people are able to contact any person at any corner of the world and any point of time. From these features we are surely able to understand that internet has an interactive nature. Among all the other applications of internet the one which is becoming popular in the masses very fast is internet marketing. Internet marketing provides instant responses to the global customers from all over the world to the internet traders who trade via online. Internet marketing considered to have a broader eye from the point of view that it not only allows marketing online but also involves trading via mails which is a wireless media. The features of internet marketing which are grouped under it as categories of internet marketing are many but to name a few I would like to mention a few.

For example digital customer data record, electronic customer relationship management and many more can be considered as categories of internet marketing. There are many synonyms of internet marketing. These can be briefed as “i marketing”, “web marketing”, “E marketing”, “online marketing” and “E commerce”. Internet marketing deals with some creative and technical aspects of internet like designing, development, advertising and sales. There are five to six business models to which internet marketing is associated.
